Membership

This is a paid subscription. It sells writing.

Rabbit, Many Setbacks, and AI is a serial published on this site, edited from conversations between Shug and AI. A new entry is added regularly and the sequence does not restart.

Some entries are open to anyone. The rest are members-only, and a paid membership is how they are read. It is on sale now, not planned.

Signing up is free and takes an email address and nothing else. Start here if you want to see what this is before paying for it.

STANDARD

$8 USD per month, or $79 USD per year.

  • Every members-only entry in full
  • New members-only entries as they are published
  • The archive of past members-only entries, for as long as the membership is active

Monthly and yearly give exactly the same access. Only the billing period and the price differ.

Prices are in US dollars. If tax applies where you live, it is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

How Billing Works

Payment is taken when you join, and then automatically at the start of each billing period. Memberships renew automatically — monthly every month, yearly every twelve months — and continue until you cancel.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and are never held on this site.

Every payment produces a receipt by email.

Cancelling

Sign in, open Account, and cancel. One click, no email to anyone.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. Members-only entries stay readable until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to free. You can rejoin later with the same email address.

Refunds

Payments are not refunded once made, including for a period you are partway through. Charges that are our fault — duplicates, charges after cancelling, billing faults — are refunded in full.
