SHUG is sold from Japan, so this page exists to satisfy the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (特定商取引法). The Japanese text below is the version that satisfies that law. The English above it says the same things and is provided because it is the language this site is written in. Where the two could be read differently, the Japanese governs.

What is sold
Access to members-only entries published on this site (STANDARD membership). It is a recurring digital subscription. Nothing is shipped.
Price
STANDARD membership: 8 US dollars per month, or 79 US dollars per year.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Where tax applies, the amount including tax is shown at checkout before you pay.
Costs other than the price
Your own internet connection. Your card issuer may add a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee.
Payment method
Card payment through Stripe. Stripe processes the card details; SHUG does not hold card numbers.
When you are charged
The first period is charged when you subscribe. After that you are charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Monthly plans renew every month, annual plans every twelve months.
When you get access
Immediately after payment completes.

Before you subscribe (recurring purchase)
This is an automatically renewing subscription. Before subscribing, note the following.
- What you get — one STANDARD membership. During the term you may read members-only entries without a limit on how many.
- Price — 8 US dollars per month, or 79 US dollars per year. Where tax applies, the amount including tax is shown at checkout.
- When and how you pay — by card. The first period is charged when you subscribe; each later period is charged at its start.
- When you get access — immediately after payment completes.
- Withdrawing or cancelling — cancel at any time from the Account page. Later charges stop, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are as set out below.
- Term — there is no minimum term and no expiry. It renews until you cancel.
Cancelling
Sign in and cancel from the Account page at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Members-only entries stay readable until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to free. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Returns and refunds
Because this is digital content, purchases are not refunded as a rule. Cancelling part-way through a paid period is not refunded pro rata either — you keep access until the end of that period.
Money is returned where the fault is ours:
- a duplicate or double charge;
- a charge taken after you cancelled;
- an incorrect charge caused by a fault in the system.
Write to hi@byshug.com from your registered email address. You will have an answer within five business days, and an approved refund goes back to the card used, through Stripe. See Refunds and Cancellations for the full policy.

販売価格
STANDARD メンバーシップ 月額 8 米ドル、または年額 79 米ドル。
表示は米ドルです。消費税その他の税が課される場合は、決済画面でお支払い前に加算後の金額を表示します。
商品代金以外に必要な費用
インターネット接続にかかる通信料はお客様のご負担です。ご利用のカード会社により、海外取引手数料や為替手数料が加算される場合があります。
お支払い方法
クレジットカード決済（Stripe）。カード情報は Stripe が処理し、当方はカード番号を保持しません。
お支払い時期
お申し込み時に初回分を課金します。以後は各請求期間の開始日に自動で課金し、解約されるまで継続します（自動更新）。月額は毎月、年額は 12 か月ごとです。
商品の引渡時期
決済完了後、ただちに会員限定記事を閲覧いただけます。
申込みの有効期限

お申し込み前の確認事項（定期購入）
本サービスは自動更新の定期購入です。お申し込みの前に、次の内容をご確認ください。
- 分量 — STANDARD メンバーシップ 1 件。契約期間中は会員限定記事を本数の制限なく閲覧できます。
- 販売価格 — 月額 8 米ドル、または年額 79 米ドル。税が課される場合は決済画面で加算後の金額を表示します。
- 支払の時期・方法 — クレジットカード。申込時に初回分を課金し、以後は各請求期間の開始日に自動で課金します。
- 引渡時期 — 決済完了後ただちに閲覧できます。
- 申込みの撤回・解除 — Account ページからいつでも解約できます。次回以降の課金は停止し、お支払い済みの期間の終了日までは閲覧できます。返金は下記のとおりです。
- 契約期間・申込期間 — 最低契約期間および申込みの有効期限はありません。解約されるまで自動更新されます。
解約について
サインイン後の Account ページからいつでも解約できます。解約すると次回以降の自動更新が停止します。お支払い済みの請求期間の終了日までは会員限定記事を引き続き閲覧でき、終了日をもって無料会員に戻ります。最低契約期間および解約手数料はありません。
返品・返金について
デジタルコンテンツの性質上、購入後の返金は原則として行いません。お支払い済みの請求期間の途中で解約された場合も、日割りでの返金は行いません（終了日まで閲覧できます）。
ただし、当方に起因する次の場合は返金します。
- 二重請求・重複決済
- 解約手続き後に課金された場合
- システム上の不具合による誤請求
ご登録のメールアドレスから hi@byshug.com までご連絡ください。5 営業日以内に回答し、承認した返金は Stripe を通じて決済に使用されたカードへ返金します。詳細は Refunds and Cancellations に記載しています。
