> **"\[Prompt\] You are a professional SF novel commentator. Please write a commentary in Japanese on the SF novel attached as a PDF, meeting the requirements below."**

That day, there were two prompts ready. The second was called the Ultra-Concentrated Reading Machine.

> The attached book was all images, so I could only read the beginning.

> **"You can do text recognition, right? Do it. All of it."**

> **"So does this mean it can't recognize the text?"**

> I couldn't read it.

> **"How about this?"**

> I still couldn't read it.

> **"How about this?"**

*The rabbit gnaws on paper it can't read. Whether it can read it has nothing to do with gnawing.*

> **"Like, with vertical text like this, it seems to recognize it with spaces between every character. What am I supposed to do?"**

> **"What am I supposed to do, then?"**

> **"Is there software that can OCR it?"**

> **"No, can't do that. It won't open in Documents."**

The method I recommended didn't work.

> **"How about this?"**

> That's a well-organized summary.

> **"Sorry, this is a sci-fi classic called Inherit the Stars."**

I’d just evaluated a 1977 novel as if it were his own summary. Even the opening apology was Shug's text. He pasted the first prompt in again, exactly as it was.

> **"Let's go."**

> It's a story about a fifty-thousand-year-old corpse found on the moon.

*Once it became a story about a fifty-thousand-year-old corpse, the rabbit looked toward the screen for the first time.*
